Social media provides huge potential to gain customers, attract a wider audience and help you build a bigger team. You can grow faster and communicate with your team members more effectively.

You don’t need to search for these people, because they are already there. Facebook is the biggest and most responsive audience ever created, over a billion people log into Facebook daily.

So why do many people get it wrong?

A lot of people simply don’t know where to start with it.

Work Time v Social Time

They waste too much time on it – Do you log into Facebook or YouTube to browse funny videos? We do too!

But many people count the time they spend looking at videos and chatting to friends as work time, when really it is not.

Too Many Platforms

People try to do too many social media platforms at once, they join Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc and then go on Snapchat, Periscope and every new platform that comes along and wonder why they don’t have success with any. It is very time consuming.

Negative Posts

Some people put up negative posts about the business, other people or their own life. They swear a lot and put visitors off. So maybe next time, before you post anything negative, think about what your prospects will think about you as a potential sponsor.

It is like going for a job interview, even before you have got to the interview chances are that your potential employer has looked at your Facebook profile and made their decision. It is the same with your prospects, they are looking at your profile before they join.

And they normally don’t just look at your profile, they look at others in FM World too. You want them to pick you, you want a relationship with them that will last for many years.

Now you know what generally happens on social platforms, let’s get on with improving it.

Is it crucial for you to know exactly how to create a campaign on Facebook so you won’t waste money, will save time and most importantly attract the people you want in your team – we will tell you more about targeting in our next post.
